Dove’s Care Ministry promotes wholeness in mind, body, and spirit. The team provides services of love for all in need, supporting Dove's mission of "Increasing Love for God and Neighbor."
The team consists of members of the congregation who volunteer their time and energy to assist those in need of any of the following services:
Immediate Needs
- Transportation (to/from doctor, church, etc.)
- Casserole Brigade (meals as needed)
- Home Care Equipment for Loan (canes, walkers, etc.)
- Homebound Communion
- Hospital/Home Care Visitation
Ongoing Resources
- Congregational Prayer Chain Ministry (weekly email of prayer requests)
- Funeral Reception Team
- Grief Support Groups
- Pre-Diabetes/Diabetes Support
- Blood Pressure Screening (1st Sunday between worship services)
- Care/Prayer Notes (available in the narthex)
- Congregational Card Ministry (occasional greeting cards sent to members)
- Cancer Care Ministry (visitation and consolation on request)
- Homebound Ministry (flowers, calls, visits)
- Prayer Shawl Ministry (blessed shawls and blankets for newborn and elderly)
- Pet Care Ministry (supporting local animal shelters)
- Alzheimer's Support
- Stephen Ministry pamphlet distribution
